KIA ORA

Kia Ora!  Kia Ora!  Kia Ora!  For those of us who didn't grow up in New Zealand or haven't been swarmed with Kiwis their entire boating lives... Kia Ora is saying either hello, good feelings, welcome, and sometimes... farewell 'till our next meeting.

If you are our family and friends from home we are excited to have you share in the Kia Ora of our trip by using this web site as a means to keep in touch along our way.  If we were lucky enough to have met you along the way, we hope you use this site to keep in contact with us for the journeys aboard Kia Ora and our lives thereafter.  We treasure your relationship, new or old, and hope you use this site  to keep that relationship alive despite the miles that may separate us.

So, on the links provided you will find:

Specs on Kia Ora.  For those of you who may not be exactly be sure as to what type of boat we are on, and for those of you who would like to know a little more about our good 'ol girl...

We will be blogging whenever we get the opportunity to get to the internet.

Greg's blog will be factual and concise.  My blog (Cori's) will be what really happened.  Greg's blog will be from a sailor's point of view, Cori's will be from a new sailor learning the ropes... errrrrr... lines.

Current Location will show where we have been and where we are, and hopefully where we will be looking to head next, given weather and other situations.

About the Photo section... Pictures are always nice because everyone is always smiling, even if deep down inside one of us is contemplating an "accident" that could happen with that rusty dive knife...

And then there is the guestbook... this is really the whole purpose of the site. Please use this, along with our e-mails at the top right hand corner of this page, as a means to contact us.  We may be out in the middle of the ocean, or be in places where the internet is harder to come by, so it will be difficult to keep constant contact with anyone.  Side-note: we don't actually want to be in constant contact with anyone.

But, we do have a ridiculously overpriced satellite phone with extraordinarily overpriced pre-paid minutes that I guarantee, we will NEVER use to TALK to you.  That is, of course, you are the United States Coast Guard and we are on a life raft.  But, we will send you e-mails with it.  Lots of them. And we can retrieve e-mails from you over the phone a couple times a week.  So write us!    Thanks so much for stopping by.  We look forward to your messages and comments.  Here's to fair winds and trailing seas (I think that's what all the yachties say)...

Kia Ora,

Greg and Cori
